Lots to look forward too!

So once again I'm sorry because I haven't kept you all up to date on my blog! Life has been pretty busy lately, and after writing essay after essay after essay, the last thing I've wanted to do is write some more... even if it is about something a little more interesting! Luckily I have now finished my first year of uni WHOOO! I'm so relieved, no more essays to worry about until next year!

Right... so what have I been up too?! ... Besides working hard of course ;-)

For the bank holiday weekend I spent time visiting family in Basingstoke, I took the boyfriend along with me and we enjoyed a weekend of shopping, relaxing in the hot tub, eating Chinese and sitting in the sun enjoying a BBQ. It was a pretty nice relaxing weekend and nice to get away for a bit! It can sometimes feel like your a bit secluded living on a little old island. It's a nice treat to have a bigger range of shops to spend money in too! I did however restrain myself a little but still bought a few nice bits!

Got some converse which I've been lusting over for ages now but I was unsure of whether they would suit me as I'm a flip flops, heels and boots kinda girl but I really struggle when it comes to casual shoes! I'm so glad I got them though, I can already tell they will be getting the wear they deserve! I also got some new bikini's in the hope that we will actually get some kind of summer!?! Primark have some lovely ones in at the moment and as always really good value!! Another perfect excuse for bikini shopping is that I've booked a holiday to Turkey, 2 months tomorrow, just me and the boyfriend! I actually can't wait! Very excited!!

There's lots of exciting things coming up at the moment too, I will be donning my wellies for the Isle of Wight Festival in a couple of weeks! A girly spa weekend for my friends birthday, a hen do and friends wedding, hopefully some summer fun too *fingers crossed*!! ... Although even if we get a rubbish summer hopefully Turkey will make up for it! :)

Going on holiday is also the perfect excuse to get in shape so I think I've finally found the motivation I needed for that bikini body! So the 30 day shred lasted a week, these sit ups I keep telling myself I'm going to do never happen but now I have two weeks tomorrow to get in shape. I am going to work my ass of trying to turn my chunky monkey tummy in to a perfectly trimmed tum that's totally beach worthy! :)

Topshop

As you all know, or should, I LOVE Topshop. Don't get me wrong I like to venture in to different shops too as I enjoy a bit of variety in life. It doesn't help living on an island where you only have a choice of H&M, New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Jane Norman, TKMaxx, Peacocks and Internationale. I'm not even joking this is basically what our main town consists off. So its little wonder that I continuously revert back to my old favourite Topshop!!

So I have recently stated on a saving mission. I'm 23 and seen as though I have been careless with my money for all these years I thought now would be a good time to start thinking about my future! I have to say I'm very proud of myself this month, I gave myself an allowance and I actually stuck to it! As well as putting some money in my savings account, which I have not touched. So overall I'm pretty chuffed with my good start! The other day I had to go in to town to buy a birthday present for my boyfriends nephew, everything was going fine until I stepped out of the toy shop and straight across the road was Topshop staring me in the face. So being naturally drawn to it I popped over for a quick peek inside as it felt like it had been way too long!! I was very proud of myself as I came out with absolutely nothing (YAY) although that doesn't mean to say that I didn't want EVERYTHING (ARGHH) Luckily my boyfriend and I made a deal after I cut up all my store cards and he said if I make it to the end of the month without buying anything he would treat me to something in Topshop :) So far so good only 1 more week to go, so I'm hanging in there!!

Fun & Frolics in Belgium!

During half term my friend Alex and I took a trip to Belgium!! We wanted to go out and see our friend Olga who is out there for work experience. We stayed for 3 nights as we couldn't really afford much more... it was a little expensive as we both have to go during half term due to working in a school!! The hotel we stayed in was in a fantastic location and was really simplistic and modern, so great value for money! Olga took us to lots of nice places, we had some delicious meals and tasty treats as well as spending some evenings in a few bars.... I even got up to sing karaoke in an Irish bar.... *cringe*!! Alex and I didn't really expect much from Belgium to begin with as Olga hadn't really sold it to us, but we were pleasantly surprised and had lots of fun!! :)

On our first night we has a delicious Thai, I had a Thai green curry which was amazing and came in this little contraption with a candle underneath, so authentic!!

In Belgium they are VERY big bear drinkers and this didn't bode well for me as I hate beer, I'm so fussy with my alcohol. Instead I settled for a Cecemel, which is basically chocolate milk, or hot chocolate if you have it warm like I did. It was awesome!!

 Amazingly tasty savoury waffles!!

We visited the parliamentarium and a big cathedral!!

And on Our last night we went to an Irish bar and had a cheeky bit of Karaoke!! :)
